An interactive grocery savings calculator for this page is in progress. Until it ships, use the manual method below to estimate your own number.
What actually moves your monthly total
Three habits tend to account for most of the realistic savings on a typical grocery budget:
- Price matching eligible items on orders you’re already placing
- Reducing items rejected for avoidable reasons, like size or brand mismatches
- Combining loyalty point offers with eligible price matches where the current policy allows it
None of these require switching stores entirely. They’re about getting more value out of the shopping you already do.
The manual version
Take your last one or two months of grocery orders and estimate:
- How many items per order had a clearly cheaper, exact match at a local competitor
- The average per-item difference on those items
- Multiply by your typical number of orders per month
This is a placeholder example to show the structure of the math, not a guaranteed or typical outcome. Your actual savings depend entirely on what you buy and which items qualify for a match that week.
