Which stores does PriceGoose compare?
PriceGoose compares every supported store within your search radius. You control the area and the radius, not individual stores.
Short answer
PriceGoose checks the supported grocery stores within your search radius, starting from your location or postal code. You cannot pick individual chains or stores. To change which stores are included, change your location or your search radius. See How do I change my location or search radius?
See which stores a scan will check
On the Scan tab, the label at the top left shows how many stores are nearby, for example 12 stores nearby. Tap it to see the list, with each store’s address and distance.
After a scan, the result shows how many stores were compared. Tap that line to see the same list for that scan.
What decides the list
- Your location. Your current location, or the postal code you entered.
- Your search radius. Anything from 1 km to 100 km. The default is 5 km.
- Which chains are supported. Supported chains include No Frills, Walmart, FreshCo, Loblaws, Metro, Sobeys, Food Basics, and Giant Tiger, among others. Not every chain operates in every area.
If the list has stores you would never visit
Lower the search radius so it only covers the area you actually shop in. If the list is short or empty, widen it, or check that the postal code is correct.
