A strong request includes the completed order details and enough competitor evidence to verify every item without guessing. Use one line per product and show the exact brand, size, variety, price, location, and current offer source.
Include the final order details
Start with the order number, order date, Real Canadian Superstore location, and final receipt. For each item, record the product you actually received, quantity, and charged price.
This matters because the original cart can differ from the completed order. Substitutions, unavailable products, and variable weights can change both the product and the price.
Identify the competitor offer precisely
Name the competitor and location or flyer region. Add the advertised price, offer dates, product name, brand, size or count, variety, and any terms attached to the price.
If the offer appears in a digital flyer, preserve enough of the page to show the retailer and valid dates. If it is a product page, include the URL and a screenshot because online listings can change.
Strong evidence versus weak evidence
| Evidence | What it shows | Problem or strength | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| Full flyer screenshot | Retailer, product, size, price, valid dates | Can be checked in context | ✓ Strong |
| Current product link plus screenshot | Listing details and captured price | Useful if the page later changes | ✓ Strong |
| Cropped price only | $4.99 with no product or retailer | Cannot verify the offer | ✕ Weak |
| Search-result snippet | Partial title and price | May omit size, seller, or conditions | ✕ Weak |
| Expired flyer page | A real offer outside its dates | Timing does not match | ✕ Ineligible |
For digital evidence, read whether digital flyers are valid and how Flipp should be used.
Keep the explanation factual
You do not need a long argument. A useful line states what you bought, what you paid, the exact competitor product and price, and where the offer can be checked.
Do not hide offer conditions
If a price requires a loyalty card, coupon, minimum purchase, app membership, or several units, show that condition. Leaving it out does not strengthen the request. It gives support a reason to reject it after checking the source.
Online marketplace sellers and online-only promotions also need care. A retailer logo on a page does not necessarily mean the retailer itself is selling the item. See the guide to online-only grocery prices.
Clean requests are easier to review
Remove duplicates, use consistent item lines, and attach evidence in the same order as the request. Then check the current deadline and support route before sending. See the Canada-wide guide for how this fits with other banners.
